It now involves the whole community, with every parish bordering the rivers having a seat on the Partnership, together with a County Councillor, two District Councillors, as well as business, local Internal Drainage Board and amenity organisation (Alde and Ore Association) representation.
The Partnership will be working closely with the East Suffolk Internal Drainage Board (ESIDB), which has assumed legal and practical responsibility for the practical delivery of the works. The Partnership will also continue to receive help and support from the national agencies Natural England and the Environment Agency, and locally from Coastal Partnership East.
Background papers( 1-6) to the AOCP, its origins and future tasks, including papers circulated to all Parish Councils, East Coast Council and Suffolk Country Council and noted that The Estuary Plan - the Alde and Ore Estuary Plan can be seen on the web site www.aocp.co.uk
