Community Engagement Meetings

These will be held as and when needed, and, if necessary,
if corona virus restrictions continue to be needed,
may be held virtually by Zoom.

Events before 2020

Community meetings have been arranged to update the community on the Estuary Plan following the flood risk assessment report by HR Wallingford which has confirmed that the wall height of 3.3m looks to be achievable throughout the estuary.   Please try to come to one of these drop-in sessions:

Aldeburgh Church Hall: 13th March 2-7pm

Snape Village Hall: 14th March 2-7pm

The Partnership will be holding their Annual Community Meeting at Snape Maltings Recital Room 14th April 10.30am-1pm and there will be a number of presentations to inform everyone of the upgrading schemes and the timetable of events over the next few years.

Wine Tasting Evening

Results from Suffolk's Big Pub Quiz – 23rd November 2017

An extraordinary evening was had throughout the estuary at 13 pubs who simultaneously took part in a pub quiz.   It was an enormous undertaking by Clare Greenwell and her team of volunteers who helped to host the activities in each pub.  ‘Whatsapp’ helped to keep everyone up-to-date with the winning scores, even Sudbourne Village Hall managed to keep up with no signal.   Well done to The Kings Head in Orford whose team ‘Ed’s Lot’ (Barry Keene, Jenny & Richard Moody, Judy and Andrew King, Rachel Massey, Audrey and Jonathan Rutherford) were the overall winners.   The Kings Head have been presented with a plaque to display on their wall.  With match funding very generously offered to us by The Sir J. Paul Getty Charitable Trust, a total of over £42,500 was raised which was an enormous achievement.   Everyone was so enthusiastic; already there are calls for a rerun next year.   The winning scores in each pub were:
